Our team

The team brings together a shared foundation of horsemanship, hands-on building, and healing work centered around horses and grounded, practical care.

With decades of combined experience in ranch life, construction, therapeutic riding, bodywork, energy work, and equine-assisted practices, they support individuals, families, and veterans in developing emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience.

Their work blends lived experience and professional training, shaped by personal journeys through hardship, recovery, and transformation. Alongside working with horses, they also build and restore physical spaces that support healing and connection.

At the core of their work is creating grounded environments where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and find stability and clarity through horses, nature, and supportive presence.

Paige Clough

Founder of On the Prairie and Paloma Trails

My journey with horses began at age six with my first pony. I grew up riding at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center, where I learned the foundations of horsemanship and developed a deep respect for the horse-human partnership.

Later, my daughter Bridget’s early love for horses deepened my own path. As I saw how horses helped her with focus and calm, I began volunteering at a miniature horse farm and learning from experienced horsemen and horsewomen who shaped my growth as an instructor.

Today, Bridget and I compete at the world level in miniature horses and have earned multiple World Champion titles. Horses have been part of both our success and our healing.

I am a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and an Eagala Certified Equine Specialist. I support individuals and families in building confidence, emotional regulation, resilience, and connection through horses.

My personal story includes long-term anxiety, trauma, and family struggles, which at times led to panic, OCD, and depression. Horses became the place where healing began, helping me regulate, rebuild confidence, and find hope again.

Fourteen years ago, I met my husband, Daniel Clough. Together, we have built a life centered on horses, service, and creating spaces where people can slow down, reconnect, and heal.

Daniel Clough

Co-Founder, Horseman, and Builder

Daniel Clough grew up with a deep love for horses and ranch life, learning hands-on ranch skills alongside his mentor Papa Salser. He spent years working cattle and horses and developing a strong understanding of animal behavior and life on the land.

He later studied construction at Sam Houston State University and built a career in building and restoration work across Texas.

After a difficult season that included divorce and addiction, Daniel experienced a turning point through faith and began rebuilding his life. In Katy, Texas, caring for a small herd of horses owned by his sister, Dr. Debra Stokan, became an important part of his healing and stability.

During this time, he met Paige at the ranch, beginning a long-term partnership rooted in horses and shared work. For more than 14 years, they have worked together caring for horses, building arenas and fences, restoring a historic 1917 farmhouse in Sealy, and developing practical ranch spaces.

Through equine-assisted work with veterans at Camp Hope in Houston, Daniel discovered a deeper calling to help others through horses.

Today, he continues building, restoring, and working with horses, creating grounded spaces where people can slow down, reconnect, and find purpose.
